Close-up and Macro PhotographyThe fine detail depicted in a macro photograph can convey an extraordinary amount of information to the viewer. A close-up of a blown fuse can give clues as to how the fuse blew. For example, metal spatter and heavy soot on the housing would indicate that a sudden large overload from a short circuit had occurred. Alternatively, clean rounded ends on the parted fusible link would indicate a longer, less severe overload condition.
