Air Brake Calculations
Ethan Parker has developed a spreadsheet that is useful in calculating the deceleration rate of trucks equipped with air brakes. This same spread sheet is also useful is determining the effect of brake adjustment on brake balance and efficiency. In addition, the second tab of the spread sheet has a brake temperature calculator that is interactive with the brake force calculator on the first tab. This interactive approach allows for the redistribution of braking force as brake tempters change.
The air brake calculator requires Microsoft® Excel 2002 to run.
