In addition to using photography in his engineering practice
Ethan Parker has been an avid photographer since 1982
and has recently moved to a digital SLR camera from film. The
digital camera has proven to be extremely flexible in that it allows the
photographer to change the characteristics of the virtual film with
every shot. The ability to control white balance, sensitivity,
color saturation, contrast, and sharpness provides both greater latitude
in artistic expression and the ability for the forensic engineer to
document the condition of material under difficult lighting situations.
